Real Estate is an exciting, rewarding career in which I have been involved since 1997. Winner of the Just Paterson Award of Excellence in my first year in the business, I was also a finalist in the Most Promising Newcomer category at the 1998 Wellington Regional Real Estate Awards of Excellence. From there my career has gone from strength to strength.
I joined Leaders/ Ray White Khandallah office in 1999 where I have regularly distinguished myself among the top 20 agents in the company as monthly top lister or top seller.
I attribute my success to my friendly professional approach, a high level of energy and enthusiasm combined with sound local knowledge. This is evidenced by the considerable referral and repeat business which comes my way and is the greatest compliment.
Real Estate demands an exceptional level of people and communication skills. This career gives me exciting opportunities not only to meet people but also, in getting to know them, to understand and help fulfill their needs.
My other strengths come from my ability in negotiation and belief in the importance of ensuring total satisfaction for both the seller and the buyer. I enjoy taking time to work in with vendors and their situation while guiding the buyer by providing factual, honest answers enabling them to make an informed decision. I treat both with the utmost respect and believe this is how I have gained my reputation.
I hope I will have the opportunity to use these skills on your behalf, and would be happy to discuss your situation and the options available to you to maximise the selling price of your home.
Being effective achieves successful results.
While the services of an agent mightn't be needed currently, life has nevertheless taught me our circumstances can change in little more than a heartbeat, and our needs inevitably change as time passes.
So when the time comes to find a larger home for a growing family or downsize to a smaller more practical one, it would be a privilege to be part of that change.
I proudly come from a working-class background. The son of Greek immigrants who came to this country for a better life in the earlier part of the twentieth century.
My father was a process worker at a motor vehicle componentry factory while my mother was the home-maker for our family.
Growing up in the eastern suburbs, the work ethic I inherited from my parents combined with my experience in sales, and advertising at Television New Zealand will provide confidence and trust in working with me.
I've had the responsibility of marketing a wide range of properties across many price bands, with career achievements extending to multiple awards for excellence in customer service.
If you'd appreciate an appraisal of your property's selling price, are thinking of selling but not sure where to start, or simply have one or two questions about the property market - don't hesitate to make contact, I'm here to help.
Here are some examples of what customers have said about my work: "Stan was brilliant. We only met Stan prior to putting our house on the market. He was recommended to us by our Son, who, in a previous job, had Stan as his Manager. Our Son said that we would not do better than Stan. He was so correct. Right from the commencement, Stan guided us through the selling requirement process, in an honest, caring, & knowledgeable way. At all times, he went out of his way to assist. The sale result is entirely down to his hard work. We have already recommended Stan to others, & will continue to do so. Thank you Stan."
"Stan sold my elderly father’s property. He went to great lengths to help my father prepare the property for the market and was incredibly kind, considerate and supportive of my father during the whole process. At my father’s request, Stan also kept my brothers and I informed and up to date with each stage of the process."
"Throughout the sale of the property Stan was utterly professional. His attention to detail, his communications with my brother and me, and his desire to enhance the attractiveness of the property gave us confidence because it conveyed the impression that he was giving our sale the same attention as he would give to the sale of his own home."
"Stan was amazing, he coordinated so many tradies for us (out of town vendors), he was constantly at the property to meet them. He worked hard for the sale and achieved us a price we never thought we’d get. He deserved to get a good result and we would thoroughly recommend him to anyone. And the Ray White team in Khandallah. A+"
"Stan was the perfect real estate agent for our circumstances. My 87 year old father needed to sell his house in order to move into a retirement village unit. I am resident in Melbourne, and due to COVID border restrictions was unable to arrive in Wellington until close to the sale date. My fathers health has been unpredictable, and he is also hard of hearing, so it was important that we have a real estate agent who was sensitive to his circumstances, and able to adjust to changed plans when necessary. I needed to organise many of the activities for preparation of the sale remotely via Stan, and always felt comfortable that I could rely on him to plan these activities with the least disturbance to my father, whilst still keeping him informed of the plans. I really appreciated Stans patience and understanding, not to mention the excellent sale outcome for my fathers house."
"Stan was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. From start to finish Stan went the extra mile, his professionalism, attention to detail and commitment shone through. Thank you."
"Always friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The property turned out to have more complications than any of us realised, and Stan managed these efficiently and competently. He worked hard on my behalf, and also took good care of the purchasers interests."
Sit for a while and soak in the view from this stunning, character 1940's home and you won't want to leave. Not only are the views unbeatable, but the home is immaculate. Constructed by renowned Harbour master Captain Suckling - who clearly wanted to keep an eye on 'his harbour' at all times - the home has been lovingly updated. Double glazing, a hot water central heating system, and refreshed neutral fit-out have added to the charm of the polished floorboards, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area, and extensive decking. The three bedrooms (main with ensuite) and study area, family bathroom, generous open plan living, dining, and kitchen with indoor-outdoor flow provide plenty of space. Then the real magic happens when you step outside - with decks cleverly positioned on different levels to capture the views and sun, so that you have options for entertaining, or escaping. The upper deck features a Schist fireplace/barbecue ready for your next gathering. A single garage at street level is adjacent to the walk-up access, while there's plenty of under-house storage/ workshop space. A sophisticated home that blends contemporary with character, 24 Bengal Street is a private and peaceful retreat. You will never grow tired of those views!
